£28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Currently recruiting for an experienced and confident HR Advisor for a reputable company in Swindon!

Purpose of the Role

To provide accurate, up to date HR advice regarding the full range of HR issues in a timely manner.
Ensure business is kept updated with employment legislation changes and impact on business.
To build & maintain excellent working relationships across the business, with all associates at all levels.

Main Responsibilities & duties

. To provide generalist HR advice to Managers at all levels across the business,
. To work alongside the current HR Advisor to support and advise Managers regarding any ER cases
. Sound knowledge of current employment law and it’s impact on business activities.
. Track, report and evaluate Long & short-term sickness & sickness trends
. Support recruitment activities
. Collect and compile relevant KPi data including headcount
. To manage ad hoc projects, as assigned
. Design and help implement company policies
. To ensure equal opportunities are promoted throughout the business giving fair opportunity to all and assisting in the development of diversified workforce

CIPD Qualification or equivalent experience is essential. Positive attitude, proactive approach and professional image is essential at all times. Must be able to work in a highly confidential manner, with high levels of integrity, as required within the role. Strong interpersonal skills, which demonstrate a tactful, diplomatic approach. Must be confident to deal with people at all levels.

Must be flexible to fit in with the demands of the business. This will include the requirement to work occasional additional hours, e.g. weekends, early morning/late evenings as the business operates a shift pattern. Effective & clear communication, both written & verbal.

Candidates need to have GCSE Mathematics & English (or equivalent) and a full, UK driving licence.
Must be proactive, looking at processes and policies with a view for continuous improvement.
Ability to prioritise tasks, take responsibility for areas of work & see them through to conclusion, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ability to work in a methodical and tidy manner; accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Must be computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.


24 days holidays – rising each year to 28 + bank holidays
(Holidays are on shutdown basis 1 wk. in May, 2 wks. in Aug and 1 wk. at Christmas then floating holidays)
