We are currently recruiting for a furniture retailer and manufacturer, who are looking to recruit four Salespersons in their Cribbs Causeway and Longwell Green branches. The successful candidates will form part of the sales team, whose objective is to drive sales and build brand advocacy within our clients stores. This is done through actively engaging with their customers to ensure they receive an outstanding service.
The successful candidates role will also be to increase sales, and provide outstanding customer service exploring customers needs and requirements in order to match to appropriate products and services.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Proactively approaching customers in store and demonstrating our clients product range according to the customer’s needs and requirements
Offering other ancillary products and services
Ensuring the store is kept tidy and nothing can cause obstruction for customers
Actively building relationships with the team
Demonstrate professionalism at all times
Checking that all display models are in good condition and any electrical items are working fully when switched on. You will be demonstrating these models and will want to know if there are any problems in advance of showing a customer
Accuracy and compliant when completing customer orders
Achieving sales targets for yourself and your store
Achieving the highest level of customer service for the store
Learn about all products and services
Assisting with merchandising of new products in store
Fulfil other duties as required

Previous sales experience

Minimum of £18,000 with potential to earn bonus. The average salesperson earns £30,000 per annum, this is reflective of individual performance and size of store.

As most of our clients customers visit them at weekends and key days (Bank Holidays), you will need be able to commit to working weekends and bank holidays. Opening hours can vary geographically, however most stores are open till 8pm, therefore there is a requirement to work evenings albeit on a shift pattern.
All of our clients new sales people receive a mixture of in store, online and head office training. Once in store will be assigned an experienced mentor to ensure you learn the essential on the job skills and techniques. During your first four weeks you will attend a welcome course followed by a sales induction at our clients head office. After sufficient development you will return to head office to complete your advanced selling skills course. Development never stops at this organisation and their experienced sales trainers and managers are always on hand to provide coaching and support.
