Credit Controller – UK
£20k + bonus (+ superb benefits and training budget!)
Our client is a sizeable international company, whose name you’ll likely know! They have a sizeable credit control team in Exeter and they’re looking for 2 more people to join the team. You’ll have your own portfolio of UK clients that you’ll manage and build relationships with.
The company are looking for someone who has a proven track record within credit control or someone who can demonstrate their desire to have a career in this area. If you’ve worked within another global company that would be great – but it’s not essential.

What’s involved in the Credit Controller role?
Operate all established collection procedures using initiative, imagination and flexibility to achieve targeted expectations/results while promoting customer good will
To make contact with customers regarding all unpaid items, following up communications frequently executing company collection guidelines
To anticipate developments and to identify accounts that require special attention and act decisively to resolve difficulties, disputes and consulting management where appropriate.
To develop and maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with all customers, departmental order management, colleagues in other regions and where necessary to make client visits to resolve problems and promote co-operation
To obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of newly proposed and existing customers promptly, efficiently and cost-effectively, using information sources appropriate to the level of exposure and liaising where necessary with colleagues and management
To promote and develop the involvement of the credit control department in Sales and marketing activities
Reporting as required
Person specification – required skills and education
Credit control experience
Finance or credit experience
Excellent customer services experience
Great communication skills
IT literate, particularly MS Office (v10 would be ideal)
The ability to quickly become a proficient of the company’s IT systems
